Day 10: You’re a leader, period.

Today is a new day. Don’t worry about yesterday. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Start your day, today. You’re a leader who is compassionate, creative, innovative. You’re a leader who takes risks, strategically thinks about the steps needed to take, doesn’t take no for an answer, and willing to go head to head with anyone who is willing to go head to head with you.

A leader like yourself will stand up for yourself. Most importantly you will gladly stand up for those around you who can’t stand up for themselves. You stand up for those who need your support, for those who need your voice, your love, and your guidance. That is what makes you a leader.

I’m gonna cut to the chase here. No one has the ability to tell you that you aren’t a leader but yourself. A leader is defined as “a guiding or directing head.” That is all you need to be. All you need to do is be able to hold someone’s hand and lead them out of the darkness. That is all that it takes to be a leader. Be there for someone. Support someone. Love that person out of the greatest darkness they are feeling. Care for that person who just feels confused and lost.

People look to me as a leader. I’m not sure why entirely. But, as a strong woman, I want to be that leader. I can’t say I’m 100% there but my goal is to be everything this 12 day series entails to be the strong woman I need to be to make a difference in this world. To become the leader for the voices of the unheard. To become a leader to those who are darkened with tragedy and hurt. To become a leader to those who need the support and love that I am willing to shower unto them. My goal, my dream, my life mission. Let’s start a movement to become the future leaders of tomorrow, today.
