It has been a wild, wild ride this year. In 2015 I loved and laughed and learned. In 2015 I found my voice, a way to reach my aspirations and understand what makes me happy. In 2015, as promised, I found who I am and what I am made of. I gave back and helped make a difference. In 2015 I rekindled the love I have for my husband and remembered the love of God. In 2015 I let go of the bad and welcomed the new. In 2015 I was blessed to have my family, my friends, my life and health, and the strength to get through it all.
What does 2016 have in store? I feel like I’m finally going to be able to have the opportunity to bless and inspire others. I will be able to work for a good cause instead of applause. While I may not be able to physically be in contact with lives I’d love to touch, I can touch the lives and support those who can which makes a difference. I get to live my life in 2016 to express my love and compassion and not to impress. I’m eager to start the new year continuing to make a difference and being an example of love and compassion instead of flaunting. I know 2016 will have in store for me blessings and excitement. I know 2016 will have new adventures and new lessons. And I can’t wait because if it is anything like this year, I’ll grow.
I pray in 2016 that you and I go confidently in the directions of our dreams. I pray that we live the life we have imagined. I pray that we get to share in love and life and fortune. And during 2016 when you are having a rough day, my loves, I need you to do me a favor. During your rough day, place your hand on your heart. As you feel your heart beating remember that beating heart is called a purpose. You are alive for a reason. Don’t give up. And I will do the same.
As for my actual resolutions?
- I’m gonna break a bad habit
- Learn something new
- Do a good deed every day
- Visit a place I have always wanted to go
- Construct and read a reading list
- Try a new food
- Do something good for someone I know won’t appreciate it once a month
- Take a leap of faith and take a risk
Do you have any resolutions?
Wishing you a Happy 2016 loves. And during this new year remember this: “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)
